The County of San Diego's budget is more than $7 billion of your money. The Board of Supervisors is voting this month on what to fund in the budget.

Starting today, May 23rd, each Board of Supervisor will be holding budget forums in their district.

Access to safe and clean public restrooms is a matter of public health. We’re calling on the County of San Diego to improve access to public restroom facilities for all!

ICYMI, at the Feb 8th Board of Supervisors' hearing Laila Aziz, Participatory Defense & Director of Operations at Pillars of the Community @potcsd , highlighted that people are less likely to return to jail when they have access to services and community support. Laila called for a paradigm shift in San Diego County and for decision making spaces to include community workers and people whose lives have been impacted by the carceral system.

ICYMI, at the Feb 8th Board of Supervisors' hearing Judith Howell, Community Advocate at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest Action Fund @pppswaction , shared a heartbreaking story of what happens when police arrive instead of mental health professionals. Judy called on the County of San Diego to stop the over policing and incarceration of Black and Brown communities and to focus on what really keeps us safe.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1, the Board of Supervisors will vote to approve a 5-year Capital Improvement Needs Assessment (CINA) plan for large construction projects without any public input or outreach.
